Hello again,
Me and Sooji have moved into another house now – we have our own room with a brand new air-conditioner which is great! We moved all our stuff in a pair of shopping trolleys which we had fun moving across town.

Working our way through curb-ridden streets
Work is ok. I’ve worked some busy shifts though and it can be pretty rushed at times – not bad though. No luck yet with a second job or more hours here, but we’ll see this next week.
We went swimming again and took the snorkel and flippers which Sooji had fun with! Sooji has a fear of deep water so I’m teaching her to swim which is fun.

Oh, so proud...
Not a huge amount to report just at the mo, other than its incredibly hot and humid.
My business has started to take off, to a small degree, with regular sales coming in almost daily now.
Hopefully once I get a USB Modem I can work on it some more.
Off to work now, all the best, Al x

Hello again!
Another post so soon? Well, I thought seeing as I’m sat in McDonalds waiting tediously for scripts to tick through one, two, two-and-a-half percent – I’d write a quick post and let you know whats going on.
Me and Sooji have both worked 3 days in this happiest of places, and actually the work is surprisingly good. The work is easy, training and patience is very good, money is good and the people great – so not very bad at all!

Hmmm... some trees.
Karratha on the other hand is as dead as a doornail – the small shopping centre in the town, along with the airport is what keeps the whole place going. I’d guess its about the same size as Mach with more shops and even less to do.
I’ve been toying with the idea of finding a second job (as theres lots of places looking), and work around McDonalds hours just to earn more money here – but since found out that it may be very difficult in practice. The manager is very friendly but apparently notoriously inflexible. On the other hand, Sooji has just this minute told me that her friend works 60 hours a week in McDonalds – which would be the most I could aim for with a second job anyway.

Hot and Dusty...
The reason I’m willing to work so hard is that any more hours I can work (at $20 p/h) is pure savings, as rent and food stay the same – so the more I can enjoy my travel time with Sooji and the longer I can stay in SE Asia. I was, and still am, hoping to engineer some success in my business that will assist me – but as that is in no way guarunteed and internet connectivity is limited here, I would rather opt for making coke and fries.
Well, I hope your all well and feel free to let me know your news!
All the best, Al
